In Greece we name “koulouraki” all the baked treats that somebody would call cookies.The braided version though is considered a classic. We have chosen to enrich our recipe with mahleb, the unique aromatic spice which tastes like bitter almond and cherry. It gives our cookies a taste of Greek Easter, since it is the most common ingredient in traditional, local Easter sweets.
